Oh. Right. I'm a married woman now.
Married women totally send out Christmas cards with their photos to everyone they know and love.
Gotta make those cards with your photos on them, then. And buy stamps. and get new return address stickies, and while I'm at it I should probably start an address book...
Married women also have signature desserts. I tried peanut butter cups one year. Big miss. Another, I tried white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. Big hit, but super pricey. This year, I'm trying my mother-in-law's fudge. It's simple and delicious. So far, I'm up to 20 recipients and counting. Gotta go to Michaels to get those tins. I'll use the rest of the pretty ribbons I got for our wedding that's sitting in the closet.
As far as presents are concerned, I want to start buying now, and be done before December hits. My ultimate goal is to avoid the mall. Have I ever done this before? No. But in my mind, I want to keep it small but classy. Purchase gifts everyone will use and love. Of course, I want local. Handcrafted. Supportive of small businesses. We are early in the season, still, so I'm probably being much too cautiously optimistic. But then again, I am a Married Woman.
