30 Day Yoga Challenge

Don't be jealous of my post-workout GLOW! That's totally not acne, it's toxins exiting my body...

I'm doing it!

Usually I do yoga DVDs at home about 2x/week and [solidcore] another 2 or 3 days. But the yoga DVDs are getting old.

So I decided to end [solidcore] and join a yoga studio nearby. I've been 3 days in a row so far. Can't go tonight because I have a date night in the city with my husband (!!) but I'm working from home so I will knock out a 15-minute Yoga With Adriene during my lunch.

It's time to release muscle tension from built up stressors and get deeply grounded, calm, and relaxed. I want to turn of the fight-or-flight parasympathetic nervous system reaction that's been in my body for what seems like forever. I WANT to be the person who is on their mat every day. Eventually, I want to do yoga, then move into a guided meditation. This could take awhile. So I need to be on my mat every day.

I've never done a 30 day challenge before. I've also never really been a "part" of a yoga community. Sure I have joined plenty of studios, but I've never stayed with them for longer than a few classes each. However, I was consistently with [solidcore] for 8 months, so I know I'm at a point in my life where I CAN do this.

So far, I'm already learning so much and really enjoying this journey. Excited to see where yoga takes me.
